Duvalia parviflora is found in the semi-desert Little Karoo between Ladismith and Laingsburg and also around Van Wyksdorp. It is an uncommon species and the distribution overlaps with that of the somewhat similar Duvalia caespitosa . The plants grow usually protected from the sun under larger shrub.
