Stapelia rufa

Stapelia rufa is distributed in the arid Karoo in South Africa.

The stem are softly pubescent and the reddish rugose flowers are quite small for the genus, measuring some 3 to 5 cm across.

Propagation is from seed or cuttings, and care is mostly similar to other members of the genus, requiring a well drained soil and only occasional watering.
