Pelargonium echinatum


Pelargonium echinatum is endemic to the Richtersveld desert in the Northern Cape Province and has also been recorded north of Clanwilliam.

This species grows to a shrub about 1 meter high or higher in ideal conditions. The leaves are lost during the hot summer resting period.

The beautiful white to pink to dark purple flowers with a variety of markings appear in winter.

Water with care during the summer resting months.

Pelargonium echinatum can be propagated from seed or cuttings.
